Building Better Regions Fund round one winners announced

The new South East Regional Hospital in Bega has been approved funding to construct carers accomodation.

Senator the Hon Fiona Nash, Minister for Regional Development, has announced the projects to be funded under Round One of the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) Infrastructure Projects (IP) stream.

A total of 110 projects to the value of $219.5 million have been approved for funding under the IP stream.

Round One of the IP stream was heavily oversubscribed with 545 applications received. 

Regional successful projects include:

  • Community Carers Accommodation South East - Stage 2 Construction in Bega
  • Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre Redevelopment in Batemans Bay
  • Rocky Hill Museum Extension and Precinct Improvements in Goulburn
  • Upgrade and Augmentation of the Bombala Sewage Treatment Plant in Bombala
  • Sustainable Agriculture and Gardening Eurobodalla home site accessibility and consolidation project in Moruya

Metro regions were not eligable for funding in this round.
