The new CRVC features state-of-the-art digital solutions in addition to continuing to offer friendly face-to-face advice to visitors including accommodation and tour booking services. Large LED screens will showcase Canberra and region attractions.

The CRVC incorporates a dedicated area that will display curated #VisitCanberra Instagram images, video content and touch screen technology showcasing the diversity of experiences on offer in the Canberra region.

Other features include a dedicated kids’ area as well as a pop up activation area that can be hired by tourism industry members. Merchandise including regional produce and Canberra District wines are for sale.

The co-located of the CRVC with the National Capital Exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to learn more about Canberra’s history and purpose as the nation’s capital.

For visitors driving to Canberra, Regatta Point offers ample off-street parking for cars, caravans and tour buses and access via all main arterial roads into Canberra.

Extensive directional signage has been installed to direct visitors to the new central location which is expected to be used by more Canberrans.

More than 30 local businesses were involved in the creation of the new centre including AMC Architecture (design) and FM Projects Australia (construction works). The ACT Government and National Capital Authority in partnership project managed the co-location of the CRVC to Regatta Point.

The CRVC is open daily – 9am to 5pm weekdays and 9am to 4pm weekends and public holidays except Christmas Day. The National Capital Exhibition opens daily 9am to 5pm weekdays and 10am to 4pm weekends, Australia Day and Canberra Day (closed other public holidays).
