Renewable Energy Day 2015

When: 9am – 4pm, Friday 30 October

Where: Canberra Institute of Technology, K Block, Bruce Campus

 

WHAT’S ON:

• A showcase of the region’s renewable energy sector with information stalls and displays presented by business and industry, governments, community groups and research and education institutions.

• Electric Vehicle displays – both production and conversations including Tesla, i-MiEV, Leaf and the remarkable EV Sonic that can accelerate to 100 km/h in under 4 seconds. Built locally, it’s the only one of its kind!

• The Official Launch of the CIT’s Renewable Energy Centre of Excellence with guided tours of the CIT wind turbine, solar PV arrays, and Sustainability Hub.

• Launch of SERREE’s Regional Renewable Energy Trail, with tours to visit some of our region’s renewable energy sites including the ANU Big Dish, Capital East Solar Farm, Woodlawn Wind Farm and Bioreactor. Click here for more information.

PROGRAM:

• 9am – 4pm 50+ renewable energy information stalls and displays

• 10am – Official Opening by Minister Corbell MLA and Morning Tea

• 12pm – 2pm Barbeque lunch

• 1pm – Renewable Energy Site Tour (bus returns approx 5pm)
